A source was quoted as saying, “The team has been looking for someone who can bring gravitas and emotional depth to the role written opposite Parashurama. Deepika fits that space perfectly. Conversations have begun, but they are still at an early stage. The source shared, “Amar Kaushik has been clear from the beginning that the character must have equal footing in the narrative.” It was previously reported that director Amar Kaushik and lead actor Vicky Kaushal have chosen to quit non-vegetarian food and alcohol in preparation for their upcoming film. Kaushik has already started this practice, while Vicky is expected to begin after concluding his work on Love & War, which also stars Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, and is being directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
